The Riverfront Committee is a group of Cornwall-on-Hudson residents that meets periodically to discuss and plan ways of enhancing Donahue Memorial Park at Cornwall Landing on the Hudson River.
The committee has installed several plantings, including shrubs and perennials around the gazebo and on the border of the park and the CSX railroad property.
It participates and helps coordinate the annual spring Riversweep conducted by Riverkeeper (www.riverkeeper.org) that cleans debris along the shoreline of the river. The 9th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep originally scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2020, has been postponed till later this year due to COVID-19.
The committee has also worked on a Consolidated Funding Application to get state funding for planning improvements to the park.
