As the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson works to help its residents deal with the Coronavirus Disease 2019, Senior citizens may be interested in the Safe Seniors program administered by the Village Police Department. Click on  the link: Safe Seniors.

VILLAGE OFFICES CLOSED

In response to Coronavirus 19, Village Hall Offices will be conducting business; however the doors will be closed for the safety of staff and residents until Monday, March 30, 2020, at which time the Village Board will determine whether it is safe to open.

You may make payments of water bills and taxes in the dropbox marked BILLS on the side of Village Hall.

The next annual election of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson will be held in the Board Room of the Village Hall, 325 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. on the 18th day of March 2020 28th day of April 2020, between the hours of Noon and 9 PM by voting machine.  The candidates, offices and terms for which are as follows:

            WHEREAS, the Village Board wished to set a time and place for a public hearing to consider the adoption of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) audit.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY –

            RESOLVED, that the Village Board hereby determines that it will be the lead agency with respect to the review of (the “project”) in accord with New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”) and part 617 of the regulations implementing SEQRA, since there are no other agencies that have the authority to approve the project; and it is further –

            RESOLVED, that the Village Board hereby classifies the action as an unlisted action under SEQRA; and it is further –

          RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by the Village Board in order to receive comments and suggestions regarding the audit of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4), and to receive any comments concerning the potential adverse environmental impacts of the proposed legislation in accord with SEQRA, on March 23, 2020 at 7:01 p.m. at the Village Hall located at 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York; and it is further –

            RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause said public notice of said hearing to be given as provided by law.

The Village of Cornwall on Hudson offices will be closed on Monday, February 17 in observance of Presidents Day. There will be no garbage pick up on Monday, sanitation crews will be collecting household trash for the entire Village on Tuesday, February 18.

The Village Offices will be closed in observation of Labor Day on Monday, September 2. There will be no regular trash collection on September 2. Trash will be collected Village-wide on Tuesday, September 3.

Notice is hereby given that the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Planning Board will hold a Special Meeting at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. to discuss the application of Daniel and Ann Bloom for a site plan amendment, and to discuss other matters that may come before the board.

Notice is hereby given that the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Comprehensive Plan Committee will hold a meeting at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. with Kristen O’Donnell, the consultant hired by the Village to help the Committee complete the Comprehensive Plan, and to discuss other matters that may come before the comittee.

THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COUNCIL (OCTC)

is updating its Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and released an online survey to understand the needs and issues facing the County’s residents, businesses, and visitors when they drive, use transit, walk, bike, or move freight and goods.  With over 100 unique responses, we just wanted to say, we heard you!  Now, we would like to know more.  We are seeking public input on concerning highway corridors + possible future transit and bike/ped corridors.
