Applicant seeks approval of area variances from §172-8 C(l) of the Village Zoning Code (the "Code") to allow for the construction of a covered entry porch on an existing single-family home. The Applicants are seeking a variance from §172-8 C(l) to allow for a combined side yard setbacks of 32 ft. when the Code requires 35 ft.

 

The Schultz House

Applicant seeks approval of an area variance from §172-8 C(l) of the Village Zoning Code (the "Code") to allow for the construction of an addition to an existing single-family home. The Applicants are seeking a variance from §172-8 C(l) to allow for a side yard setback of

12.7 ft. when the Code requires 15 ft.

 

Sovak Office Conversion

Applicant seeks an area variance from §172-8 C(l) of the Village Zoning Code (the "Code") to allow for a change of use from an office space and apartment to a two-family dwelling. The Applicants are seeking variances from §172-8 C(l) to allow for a lot area of 8,948 sq. ft. when the Code requires 22,500 sq. ft., a lot width of 68 ft. when the Code requires 100 ft., a front yard setback of 8.1 ft., when the Code requires 30 ft., side yard setback of 2.4 ft. when the Code requires 15 ft., and a combined side yard setback of 26.33 ft., when the Code requires 35 ft.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) proposed a massive $15 per day congestion pricing toll that could cost families up to $5,000 per year, yet continues to not provide adequate services to the Hudson Valley.

Donahue Memorial Park: Paring & Boat Launch Permits
  • Parking and boat launch permits may also be obtained through the mail. Parking Permit Application forms are located on the Village website under the tab for Village Clerk. You can return the application form, a copy of the vehicle and/or trailer registration, and fee in an envelope and place in the drop box marked “BILLS” on the parking lot side of Village Hall or drop off during regular business hours.
  • Day Passes are available at Village Hall and several Village businesses including Village Pizza (845-534-3600) and 2 Alices.
    Visitors may also obtain Day Passes through the ParkMobile App, which is available by cell phone. Village police can monitor whether a car has a pass by checking the car’s license plate.
    Parking is allowed only in designated spaces. Cars without permits or passes are subject to ticketing and towing. When a car is towed, the driver should call the Town of Cornwall dispatcher (845-534-8100) to request that a Village Police Officer contact him/her.
