Residential Spring Bulk Cleanup

Items are to be put at curbside after 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021 under Section 88-4 of the Village Code.

 

Permitted Items (in separate piles)

Appliances & Other Metal: Refrigerators (with doors removed), stoves, washers, dryers, etc. (limit: 1 per household).

Bicycles: Tires must be removed from rims.

Brush: Must be tied into bundles, no longer than 6 feet in length, weighing no more than 25 pounds (loose brush will not be picked up).

Electronics: NO Televisions or Computer Monitors

Leaves & Twigs: Must be in cardboard boxes, cans or bio-degrad­able paper bags, weighing no more than 25 pounds.

Lumber: Must not exceed 6 feet in length, weighing no more than 25 pounds.

Paint Cans: Must be empty or filled with dry material to absorb paint.

Other Items: Such as furniture and household items.

 

Prohibited Items

NO Demolition/construction Materials (including lumber from construction sites or contractor cleanup).

NO Hazardous/toxic Liquids and Materials

 

NO Propane Tanks

NO Tires (Newburgh Transfer Station will accept tires).

NO Televisions        No Computer Monitors

VILLAGE OF CORNWALL-ON-HUDSON
County of Orange, State of New York

Seconded by: Deputy Mayor James P. Kane
Date of Adoption: March 22, 2021

WHEREAS, the Village Board of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson wishes to adopt a Local Law regulating short-term rentals of residential dwellings in the Village (the “project”); and

WHEREAS, the Village Board wishes to schedule a public hearing for April 19, 2021 at 7:01 p.m. to consider the adoption of the proposed Local Law and to consider the potential adverse environmental impacts of the same;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. In accordance with the provisions of § 617.6(i) of the regulations implementing the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”), (the “SEQRA regulations”), the Village Board hereby determines that the adoption of the proposed local law is an action subject to SEQRA; and
2. The Village Board determines that it is, and will be, the Lead Agency with respect to the consideration, review, and determination of significance pursuant to the SEQRA regulations because there are no other agencies with authority to approve the project; and
3. The Village Board preliminarily classifies the aforementioned action as an Unlisted action pursuant to the SEQRA regulations; and
4. That a public hearing be held by the Village Board on April 19, 2021 at 7:01 p.m. at the Village Hall located at 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York, with respect to the proposed amendment to the Village Code; and
6. That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause public notice of
said hearing to be given as provided by law.

Donahue Memorial Park: Paring & Boat Launch Permits
  • Parking and boat launch permits may also be obtained through the mail. Parking Permit Application forms are located on the Village website under the tab for Village Clerk. You can return the application form, a copy of the vehicle and/or trailer registration, and fee in an envelope and place in the drop box marked “BILLS” on the parking lot side of Village Hall or drop off during regular business hours.
  • Day Passes are available at Village Hall and several Village businesses including Village Pizza (845-534-3600) and 2 Alices.
    Visitors may also obtain Day Passes through the ParkMobile App, which is available by cell phone. Village police can monitor whether a car has a pass by checking the car’s license plate.
    Parking is allowed only in designated spaces. Cars without permits or passes are subject to ticketing and towing. When a car is towed, the driver should call the Town of Cornwall dispatcher (845-534-8100) to request that a Village Police Officer contact him/her.
